BigHorn Project : Beginning

Just happened this day, me and Daniy bought a UBS52F, means a LongWheelBase (Isuzu) Chevrolet Trooper. My KTI friend Ditto who owns it.
It's a crap, the frame is rotten very bad and so the body deck. It has no engine, tranny, most of interiors parts, wheels and glasses. It has license book but I prefer not to take it since the engine number is gone.
But the body is straight and Daniy feels that this is a right UBS to build. I believe him and just an hour ago we pay the UBS.

Hi-LUV Project : Pick her

Just three days after I pay that lil'l truck, my iD2.Garage's partner, Daniy, bought that car to his house.
The seller is good enough to cover her just like a present ready to be opened.

If you guys watch closely, back bodylines isn't right because she use 1st gen LUV backlamps. I'll fix that rightaway.
Two weeks after that, I come home to Jakarta and test driving it around the block. Steering is need a lot of repair, but overall she drove so smooth just like an Isuzu.

Hi-LUV Project : Beginning

People know me as (Isuzu) Trooper lover, and I'm proud of it. That's where the UBS name comes from. UBS is Isuzu designation for Trooper.
After 3 Trooper I decided to buy something different. Still comes from Isuzu, this time I bought a Chevrolet LUV a.k.a Isuzu Faster KB a.k.a Isuzu P'Up.
I sometimes draw a LUV years back, but never thought that I finally bought one. Having a pickup truck is not common for a family guy like me. Trooper, even the SWB, designed to carry more passenger. Afterall, with this pickup I feel like I finally have a car for myself. A car to fulfill my ego.
The story began 3 months ago when my friend Budi from KTI-Bogor send me a picture of a Chevrolet LUV for sale along his way to KTI-Bogor HQ.

 

 

 

Just a night before, I tell him that I want to have a LUV just like he has. Budi said that the seller wants 2k USD for that pickup truck. Budi and other KTI-Bogor members said that the price is not worthed. It doesn't have front axle, body lines isn't correct and the interior is almost empty. But I feel something different with that li'l truck. It looks so prospective to become a good looking truck. Beside that, 2k USD is considered a low price, since 2WD LUV price is around 2.5k USD. Yes, it's a 4WD LUV. I've checked the license plate number and found out that the frame code is KBD-41. A code for 4WD LUV equipped with C190 diesel engine.
Well, just a day after that, I bought that pickup truck. And the Hi-LUV story begin.. :)
